LABOR DAZE box car DERBY AnNOUNCEMENT

The Oakfield Betterment Committee is not associated with the Oakfield Boxcar Derby Association. In 2023, OBC members organized and established the boxcar derby at the Labor Daze Festival as part of the annual event. It was a tremendous success and added another great element to the festival.

The organizing members of OBC sought and received approval for it's continuation in 2024. After OBC approval to make the boxcar derby an ongoing OBC event, the organizer decided to disassociate the boxcar derby from Labor Daze and then from the Oakfield Betterment Committee and start a separate derby.

The Oakfield Betterment Committee regrets the loss of the boxcar derby, as we will not be organizing one at Labor Daze.. We do not wish to compete against the newly formed "Oakfield Boxcar Derby Association".
