The COVID-19 pandemic has caused us all to make difficult decisions. It is with sadness that The Oakfield Betterment Committee has voted to cancel Oakfield Labor Daze 2021. It’s a terribly frustrating circumstance made yet worse by the uncertainty of COVID-19. The New York State gathering guidelines have made many planned events just plain impossible. OBC is not in a position to limit capacity, verify vaccination/testing status or other requirements. Labor Daze is also dependent on our wonderful sponsors and we also believe it is irresponsible to solicit donations during times where business are also struggling. OBC will continue to work with local and state government agencies in an attempt to bring something to our wonderful Oakfield-Alabama community. Thank you to our board, members, many volunteers, and sponsors for your continued support.

2021 Oakfield Labor Daze
Oakfield Labor Daze at Triangle Park will be held on Saturday, September 4th to Monday, September 6th, 2021. This celebration is a family-friendly festival with many fun-filled, alcohol-free events.
As you are aware, local community gatherings and carnivals are disappearing due to restrictive laws, lack of funding, and difficulty maintaining a volunteer base. The Oakfield Betterment Committee is dedicated to making sure that our local event continues to be a tradition for our town. In fact, we are proud of the fact that we are expanding the celebration as well as the volunteer base. The 2021 celebration will consist of first-rate live entertainment, children’s activities, car show, parade, fireworks, arts & crafts vendors, and food vendors.
Non-profit groups from Oakfield and surrounding areas are invited to operate food and beverage stands and various games other fundraisers at the event free of charge, making this celebration an important part of our local nonprofit organizations’ fundraising.
